Two systems. One home. Both needed to go. That's exactly what we were working with here - a situation where patching things up wasn't going to cut it anymore. When a home has multiple systems running on old equipment, you don't want to replace one and leave the other limping along. We took care of both at the same time.
One of the systems got the full treatment - new equipment, new ductwork, and a Honeywell 4" media filter for better airflow and cleaner air throughout the house. That filter upgrade alone makes a noticeable difference. A 4" media filter has significantly more surface area than a standard 1" filter, which means it captures more particles without choking off airflow the way thinner filters can.
The second system got a complete equipment swap - new air handler inside and a new Comfortmaker condenser outside. Both units sitting clean and ready to run. When equipment is properly sized and installed to match the home's actual load, you stop fighting hot and cold spots. The system just works.
This is what a proper dual system replacement looks like from start to finish. Everything tied in correctly, condensate drainage handled right, and both outdoor units set and ready. No shortcuts, no guesswork. Sizing matters, installation matters, and both have to be done right for comfort to actually show up.
